چکیده
This article aims to present a new method reconstruct slowly varying width defects in 2D waveguides using locally resonant frequencies. At these frequencies, modes propagate the waveguide under form of Airy functions depending on parameter called point. In this particular point, local is known and its location can be recovered from boundary measurements wavefield. Using same process for different we produce good approximation all waveguide. Given multi-frequency taken at surface waveguide, provide L \infty-stable explicit We finally validate our numerical data, discuss applications limits.

Detecting low shape-frequencies in smooth and jagged contours
It is often assumed that a two-stage filter-process is involved in the coding of visual contours. In the first stage the contour is coded by localized luminance filters selective for, among other dimensions, orientation and spatial frequency. A second stage then integrates the outputs of these local luminance filters over space. In the experiments described here we address the issue of which sp...
متن کاملLocally Resonant Granular Chain
We report the design and testing of a tunable and nonlinear mechanical metamaterial, called locally resonant granular chain. It consists of a one-dimensional array of hollow spherical particles in contact, containing local resonators. The resonant particles are made of an aluminium outer spherical shell and a steel inner mass connected by a polymeric plastic structure acting as a spring. We cha...
متن کاملShape preserving surface reconstruction using locally anisotropic radial basis function interpolants
In this paper we deal with the problem of reconstructing surfaces from unorganized sets of points, while capturing the significant geometry details of the modelled surface, such as edges, flat regions and corners. This is obtained by exploiting the good approximation capabilities of the Radial Basis Functions (RBF), the local nature of the method proposed in [1], and introducing information on ...
متن کاملSuccessful Reconstruction of Nerve Defects Using Distraction Neurogenesis with a New Experimental Device
Introduction: Repair of peripheral nerve injuries is an intensive area of challenge and research in modern reconstructive microsurgery. Intensive research is being carried out to develop effective alternatives to the standard nerve autografting, avoiding its drawbacks. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of a newly designed mechanical device for the reconstruction of the...
متن کاملMatryoshka locally resonant sonic crystal.
The results of numerical modeling of sonic crystals with resonant array elements are reported. The investigated resonant elements include plain slotted cylinders as well as their various combinations, in particular, Russian doll or Matryoshka configurations. The acoustic band structure and transmission characteristics of such systems have been computed with the use of finite element methods. Th...
